Who Am I and What Do I Do?

I’m Natalie, the founder  of Flourish Dyslexia Ltd, a specialist provider of dyslexia assessment, literacy support and therapeutic services for children and young people. My services are delivered across Greater Manchester and the wider Lancashire area.

 

As the Director of a registered limited company, I act as the Data Controller for all personal information collected and processed for the purpose of delivering services. Flourish Dyslexia Ltd is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

In some cases, such as when working on behalf of schools or other organisations, I may act as a Data Processor, following the instructions provided by those parties.

Basic analytics data such as pages viewed or time spent on the website may be collected via cookies and website software. This helps improve the performance and accessibility of my website, but this data cannot be used to identify individuals.

  • Directly from parents/carers through questionnaires, emails and conversations

  • From schools or professionals with appropriate consent

  • During assessment or tuition session
     

No information is collected from third parties without your prior knowledge or permission.

I use your data under the following lawful bases under UK GDPR:

  • Consent – for collecting sensitive information (especially related to children)

  • Contract – to deliver the services you have requested

  • Legal obligation – to comply with record keeping, safeguarding, or insurance requirements

How Your Information Is Stored

All information is stored securely and is only accessed by Flourish Dyslexia Ltd.

  • Locked filing cabinets for paper-based records (e.g., test papers)

  • Secure password-protected transfer of reports or documents

 

How Long Your Data Is Kept

Records are kept in line with professional and legal guidance:

  • Children/Young People: Until the individual turns 25 years old, or for 7 years after final contact, whichever is longer

  • Financial and legal records: For at least 6 years, as required for tax and accounting purposes
     

After this period, all data is securely deleted or shredded.

Your information is treated with strict confidentiality.

Access is limited to:

  • Natalie  Beach, Director of Flourish Dyslexia Ltd

  • My accountant (only for financial data)

  • Insurance providers (if required in the case of a claim)
     

If collaboration with other professionals is required (e.g., school staff or external specialists), this will only happen with your written consent.
